Associations and Sources for Designers

Compositions of the Mind

Associative pattern stores are used in a manner similar to other pattern stores. The creator takes elements from the source for patterns, and plays with those elements to attempt to create an environment for the user that will affect them in some way. The difference, however, is that, instead of tearing the patterns apart to create new patterns, the designer weaves together the associations arising from the patterns.
